Free Distance Learning from Region 4

Region 4 Education Service Center partners with Wild Bird Adventures to provide students with interactive and engaging learning experiences related to birds, their habitats, their adaptations, and their importance in our ecosystem.

Soar into a Virtual Encounter via Zoom!

Wild Bird Encounters

  • Programs are available for either in-person delivery or virtually through Zoom.

  • All programs run one hour and feature live birds of prey (hawks and/or owls).

  • Programs are individually tailored  to the audience age or grade level.

  • Programs are interactive and engage the audience with sights and sounds from the bird world.

  • Pricing available upon request.

Mary Anne Morris holds federal and state permits to care for the education ambassadors.  Federal permits are given by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and state permits are managed by Texas Parks and Wildlife. Mary Anne is also a member of the North American Association for Environmental Education and the International Association of Avian Trainers and Educators.  Mary Anne's programs have been honored with awards from the city of Houston, the Garden Club of America, Citizens' Environmental Coalition and Houston Audubon.  Programs are also certified by TEA and the Texas Environmental Education Advisory Committee.
