Welcome to Wild Bird Adventures

education0648

Thank you for visiting our website. We are blessed to be able to offer the best and most unique bird conservation educational programs to the Brazos Valley and beyond. This blog will give you a more intimate look at our daily life of caring for our very special raptors and caretaking our property in Waller County, Texas for all wildlife.

Our five-acre property is abundant with birds, reptiles, amphibians, mammals, insects, and fish, and we aim to showcase the diversity of these fascinating creatures. Additionally, we are committed to cultivating native Texas plants, which will be featured throughout our conservation-oriented and sustainable land. Throughout our exploration of these various life forms, we will share our discoveries and experiences to facilitate your learning as well.

In addition to the 9 raptors that we care for we are also home to 6 homing pigeons, one Welsummer Hen named Hazel, 1 cat named Kitty, 3 dogs and 2 parrots. We will tell you all about our family of furry and feathered friends in the coming months.

Wild Bird Adventures proudly partners and assists local wildlife rescue organizations. We are a release site for rehabilitated birds and mammals from local rescue groups. In 2024 we released 6 wild rabbits, 4 Great Horned Owls and 2 Gray Squirrels on the property that had all been rehabilitated in the Houston area after being found injured or orphaned.

Thank you for joining us on our Wild Bird Adventure!
